Bodrum Gulf of Hisaronu 7-Night Gulet Cruise
Tour Program
Set off from Bodrum on a 7-night Blue Cruise and explore the hidden bays, unspoiled nature and historical sites of the Gulf of Hisaronu, Bozburun, Selimiye and Datca. During your stay on a luxury gulet, you’ll enjoy a relaxed combination of sea, nature and culture.
Guaranteed departures are scheduled every Saturday from 29 May 2027 to 20 October September 2027.
Day 1 Saturday: Bodrum
Our exciting journey begins in Bodrum, with embarkation scheduled for 16:00. After the welcome briefing, you will have free time to explore the town. You can stroll through Bodrum’s charming narrow streets or enjoy a pleasant walk among its cafés and restaurants.
Your yacht will set sail around 18:30 towards one of the nearby bays, Bardakçı or Aquarium Bay. Guests arriving after this time will be directed to the closest convenient point for tender transfer to the yacht. These locations may include Gümbet, Bitez, or Yalıçiftlik. Transportation to these meeting points is at the guests’ own arrangement.
Dinner will be served on board by the crew. However, for guests arriving after 21:30, a full dinner service will not be available. Instead, a simple meal box including items such as a sandwich and fruit will be provided.
Day 2 Sunday: Palamutbuku
A coastal retreat surrounded by lush greenery, with crystal-clear water and unspoiled beaches. Swim, snorkel, walk the scenic coastline, or enjoy fresh seafood and regional dishes at waterfront restaurants. A peaceful escape, far from the crowds.
Day 3 Monday: Aktur & Bencik
Counted among Turkey’s most special bays, Bencik sits at the narrowest point of the Datça Peninsula. In the 6th century BC, as the Persian general Harpagus advanced, the people of Knidos began digging through this narrow neck to turn their land into an island. The work was never finished, but today the bay offers a stunning backdrop for swimming and relaxing.
Beyond its narrow entrance lies a sheltered inlet framed by pine forest, with calm water, beautiful photo spots and complete peace.
Day 4 Tuesday: Emel Sayın, Orhaniye & Selimiye
Emel Sayın Bay: Named after the beloved Turkish singer Emel Sayın, this bay is surrounded by lush greenery and striking rock formations. Its waters are calm and turquoise.
Orhaniye Bay: A peaceful corner between pine-clad hills and clear sea. Its best-known spot is Kız Kumu, a reddish sand path stretching about 600 metres into the bay. You can walk along its shallows and sunbathe.
According to the legend of Kız Kumu, the daughter of the King of Bybassos fell in love with the owner of a small fishing boat on the shore. At night she would go down to the beach and signal to the opposite shore with a lantern, and the young fisherman would row across to meet her.
When the king learned of these secret meetings, he made a plan. His soldiers caught the princess on the beach, took her lantern and used its light to signal to the fisherman and trap him. The fisherman saw the light and began to row. The princess broke free from the soldiers and ran into the sea towards her love. As she did, the sea turned to sand wherever she stepped, and a path appeared in the middle of the water.
The soldiers chasing her sank under their own weight. One of them, as a last resort, drew his bow, but missed his target and the arrow struck the princess. It is said that the red colour of Kız Kumu comes from the blood shed that night.
Selimiye: A town on the Aegean coast known for its stone houses, narrow streets and warm Aegean hospitality. Surrounded by olive-covered hills, the village combines natural beauty, culture and waterfront dining.

Day 5 Wednesday: Bozburun & Dirsekbükü
Bozburun is a fishing village that captures the authentic spirit of the southern Aegean coast. One of Turkey’s best-known centres of traditional gulet building, it is also closely tied to blue cruise culture. Here you can feel time slow down, unwind to the gentle sway of the sea and enjoy fresh local seafood by the water.
Dirsekbükü is a sheltered bay away from the tourist crowds. Reachable only by sea, its crystal-clear water and quiet atmosphere make it ideal for swimming and relaxing.

Day 6 Thursday: Datça & Knidos
Datça: The whitewashed stone houses and bougainvillea-draped streets of Old Datça give the town a captivating charm. With its relaxed atmosphere, boutique shops and art workshops, Datça welcomes those looking for a slow holiday.
Knidos: Located at the western tip of the peninsula, Knidos is an ancient city where history meets the sea. Visitors are greeted by the remains of the round temple that once housed Praxiteles’ famous statue of Aphrodite, a Hellenistic theatre and wide Aegean views.
History and Location
- Knidos was a port city of Dorian origin and a member of the Dorian Hexapolis. According to Herodotus, it was founded by colonists from Sparta. The league’s meetings, along with games held in honour of Apollo, Poseidon and the nymphs, took place at Cape Triopion.
- The city was first founded near present-day Datça and moved to the western tip of the peninsula in the 4th century BC. This settlement is known as “Tekir”.
- The city was built partly on the mainland and partly on a headland linked to an island. It had two harbours. The commercial harbour now lies outside the archaeological site and is used as Knidos Marina.
- Knidos was famous for its wine, its vinegar and its statue of Aphrodite. The city was also home to a renowned medical school, second only to that of Kos.
The Temple of Aphrodite and the Statue
- Praxiteles’ nude statue of Aphrodite was made in the 4th century BC for this round temple. The temple was open, ringed by 18 Doric columns, so the statue could be admired from every angle.
- The temple was dedicated to Aphrodite Euploia, meaning “Aphrodite of fair voyages”, and was a favourite stop for sailors and merchants.
- The statue itself is lost. Only Roman-era copies survive, the most faithful of which is in the Vatican Museums.
- It is said that the temple’s site was found by Iris Love in 1969. Today only the round base and steps remain.
What to See
- Hellenistic theatre: According to sources, it seated between 5,000 and 8,000 people. From the top, you can enjoy views of the Aegean.
- The small theatre (odeon), the Temple of Dionysos, the Temple of Apollo and its altar, the sanctuary of Demeter, the agora and the stoa.
- Five large churches showing the city’s late Roman and early Christian periods. One of them, the three-aisled “Church C”, was built into the temple ruins.
- City streets and harbours. In 2022, low tide reportedly revealed the remains of an ancient port.

Day 7 Friday: Karada & Orak Island
This volcanic island off Bodrum is best known for its cave, where a natural hot spring feeds mineral-rich water into a pool. The water and mud are believed to have healing properties. Quiet coves and unspoiled nature surround the island, and its clear sea is ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
Day 8 Saturday: Bodrum
Bodrum Gulf of Hisaronu Gulet Cruise has come to an end. After breakfast, you may disembark the boat by 09:00. Your journey finishes here, but the experiences and the people you met will stay with you.
We look forward to welcoming you again on another route… 🙂
