Göcek Yacht Club Ordinary General Assembly

Göcek Yacht Club held its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on January 15, 2026, with an exceptionally high level of member participation not seen for many years. Members actively contributed to the meeting by directly raising topics related to the club’s current situation and its future.

Throughout the general assembly, members reviewed the club’s administrative and financial structure. In addition, they also openly expressed the challenges faced and shared their proposals for solutions. Increasing ecrimisil (usage compensation) costs, the club’s long-term sustainability and strengthening the membership structure stood out as key agenda items.

New Board of Directors Elected

During the general assembly, members elected the new Board of Directors by vote. Members thanked the outgoing board for its contributions and efforts over the years. The newly elected board assumed its duties and took responsibility for the upcoming term.

The new board emphasized that the club’s development depends on the active involvement of every member. The board highlighted unity and solidarity among members as one of its main priorities in all club activities.

Amendments to the Bylaws

At the general assembly, members discussed and approved several amendments to the club’s bylaws. Through these changes, the club aims to strengthen its institutional structure and make management processes more effective.

The adopted decisions

Members increased the entrance membership fee from TRY 3,000 to TRY 10,000.
The general assembly raised the annual membership fee from TRY 500 to TRY 2,000.
Members increased the required number of reference members for new applicants from 2 to 3.
The general assembly expanded the Board of Directors’ authority on various matters related to the club’s operations.
