Route Amalfi (Extended)
Amalfi Yacht Charter Itinerary
Italy’s most celebrated stretch of coastline, the Amalfi Coast, is known for its dramatic cliffs, colorful villages and peaceful beaches.
Weekly yacht charter itineraries in the region can generally be divided into “short” and “extended” routes. In this article, we focus on the short version.
This 7-night, relatively extended itinerary (approximately 200 nautical miles) brings together culture, history, gourmet cuisine and the joy of the sea across Naples, Ischia, Ponza, Capri, Positano and Sorrento.
Day 1: Napoli - Ischia (15nm)

Begin your yacht charter journey in Naples. While you are in Naples, we recommend visiting the Royal Palace, Castel dell’Ovo and the famous Spaccanapoli Street.
Don’t leave without trying the world-famous Neapolitan pizza. Afterwards, set course for Ischia. Known for its thermal springs and the impressive Aragonese Castle, the island offers a wonderfully relaxing start to your cruise.
Day 2: Ischia (30 nm)

Ischia is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples, famous for its thermal springs, lush landscapes and charming coastal villages. Often called the “Green Island” for its rich vegetation, it blends natural beauty with wellness culture, offering visitors pristine beaches, historic sites, scenic hiking routes and world-class thermal gardens. It’s one of Italy’s most relaxing yet vibrant island destinations.
Spend the day unwinding at Negombo or Poseidon Thermal Gardens, soaking in their warm natural pools and serene atmosphere.
If you’re up for a little adventure, hike up Monte Epomeo for breathtaking panoramic views of the island.
In the evening, enjoy a delightful seafood dinner at one of the charming seaside restaurants.
Day 3: Ventotene & Ponza (30 nm)

Explore the Roman-era ruins and popular dive sites of Ventotene Island. Afterwards, continue to Ponza, known for its colorful houses, Frontone Beach, and impressive sea caves.
Day 4: Ponza - Capri (70 nm)

Swim at Chiaia di Luna Beach or take a leisurely stroll through the island’s botanical gardens. In the evening, treat yourself to a memorable dinner at the Michelin-starred Acqua Pazza restaurant.
For the long passage to Capri, your captain will most likely prefer to make the journey overnight.
5. Gün: Capri

Explore the Blue Grotto, world-famous for its otherworldly blue light created by the sun reflecting through an underwater opening.
Continue to Villa San Michele, the cliff-top residence of Swedish physician Axel Munthe, offering breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples.
Nearby, the flamboyant Villa Lysis showcases early-20th-century architecture and the artistic life of its creator, Baron Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen.
Finally, wander through the elegant town of Capri, known for its designer boutiques, charming piazzas and timeless Mediterranean glamour.
For dinner, consider Da Paolino, a beloved Capri classic where tables are set beneath fragrant lemon trees; a truly atmospheric island experience.
6. Gün: Salerno ve Amalfi (10 nm)

Visit Salerno’s Old Town and the Salerno Cathedral, then continue on to Amalfi to see the iconic Cathedral of Saint Andrew. In Ravello, wander through the stunning gardens of Villa Cimbrone.
For dinner, Palazzo Avino would be a very good choice.
7. Gün: Positano v Sorrento (10 nm)

Enjoy some shopping and a refreshing swim in Positano, then sip an aperitivo at Le Sirenuse before cruising onward to Sorrento. Don’t forget to taste the region’s famous limoncello.
8. Gün: Pompei ve Napoli

After your final breakfast on board, you may disembark by 09:00 to conclude your blue cruise. If time allows, round off your trip with a visit to Pompeii, the remarkably preserved Roman city where time seems to have stood still.
See you on another route… 🙂
