Bodrum North Dodecanese Yacht Charter Itinerary

An alternative route for Bodrum-based yacht charters is the Greek Islands, specifically the Northern Dodecanese.

Only yachts holding a Greek survey are permitted to operate this special itinerary, so the number of suitable vessels is limited.

Due to recent regulations introduced by the Greek authorities, additional costs may apply under the TEPADAH tax framework, along with certain administrative requirements. We will, of course, brief you thoroughly on all details.

Who is this route suitable for?

With relatively short cruising distances, this itinerary is ideal for guests who prefer to avoid crowds and enjoy a more secluded, tranquil holiday experience.

On the first day of your yacht charter blue cruise, embarkation begins at 15:00. You will be welcomed personally by us, your captain and the rest of the crew. Once you have settled in and feel completely satisfied with your yacht, we will brief you on everything you need to know and answer any questions you may have.

Throughout your trip, you can reach us 24/7 for anything you might need.

Customs procedures can occasionally take longer than expected, so to avoid losing time we will aim to complete the clearance process within today.

You may choose to stay overnight in Bodrum Marina and enjoy the vibrant nightlife, or, if you prefer a quieter evening, dinner and overnight anchorage can be arranged in a nearby bay such as Aquarium Bay (Adaboğazı) or Karaada.

Your first stop in Greek waters is the island of Kos. To minimize waiting time for customs, port formalities and other paperwork on the Greek side, your captain will set off early in the morning.

Kos is a true holiday haven, known for its stunning landscapes and well-preserved natural beauty. During the summer months, it is also a popular destination for many travelers from Turkey.

But Kos is far more than just a beach destination. The island is rich in history and culture, offering numerous noteworthy sites, including:

• The Ancient Agora
• The Asklepion
• The Castle of the Knights
• The Tree of Hippocrates
• Hasan Pasha Mosque & Defterdar Mosque

After breakfast and a refreshing swim in one of the beautiful bays surrounding Kalymnos, your yacht will head toward the island’s main port, Pothia, arriving by late afternoon.

Kalymnos is home to a number of lovely beaches such as Massouri, Mirties and Vlyhadia. For centuries, the islanders have earned their livelihood through sponge diving; a tradition that remains an important part of Kalymnos’ identity.

Breakfast is served at one of the small islets lying just in front of Lipsi. By late afternoon, you can make your way into the cozy harbor of Lipsi.

The island’s center is set around a small marina, with a charming square lined with cafés and tavernas. Two notable churches are well worth a visit: Catopanaghia, dating back to the 7th century, and Panopanaghia, from the 15th century.

The island of Patmos is known as the Island of Saint John. Guests who wish may visit the Monastery of Saint John and the Cave of the Apocalypse.

Leros’ famous bay, Xirokampos, is one of the must-anchor spots during your cruise.

Depending on the weather, you may enter either Lakki or Agia Marina. The island’s main town, Platanos, offers a delightful atmosphere with its steep stairways, narrow alleys and flower-filled courtyards. From Platanos, a climb of around 300 steps takes you to the Castle of Leros, where panoramic island views await. Leros is also perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle.

Pserimos is a small and tranquil island located between Kos and Kalymnos. With a permanent population of only around 30-50 residents, the island has just a couple of tavernas, a café and a small guesthouse.

It offers a peaceful, crowd-free and authentically Greek island experience. In the afternoon, you will set course back to Kos to complete the customs and port clearance procedures.
