Athens Cyclades Yacht Charter Itinerary

Discover the Cyclades starting from Athens with a week-long yacht charter blue cruise at the heart of the Aegean. Piraeus Port or Lavrio Port being the base ports, this route includes the islands of Kea, Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Serifos, and Kythnos.

Covering approximately 200 nautical miles, this comprehensive yacht charter itinerary is suitable for guests who truly enjoy sailing and are comfortable with open-sea conditions.

Please note that the meltemi winds in July and August can make this route more challenging.

Athens - Check-in

Your yacht will be waiting for you at either Lavrio Port or Piraeus Port in Athens. You may board starting at 16:00.

Lavrio Port

It is located 25 minutes from Athens Airport, and its proximity to the Cyclades islands makes it an advantage for this route.

Quiet, well-organized, and offering VIP services, it has become an increasingly preferred port in recent years.

Piraeus Port

Located 1 hour from Athens Airport, it is the largest port in Greece. With its modern infrastructure, restaurants, and provisioning options, it is ideal for charter departures.

Kea (Tzia)

The closest Cycladic island to Athens, Kea is a peaceful and unspoiled stop. With its stone-built hilltop houses, small fishing villages, and clear coves, it is a popular anchorage for yachts.

You can enjoy your first dinner here at one of the small seaside tavernas, accompanied by fresh octopus and a glass of white wine.

Syros

Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, stands out for its elegant architecture and cultural atmosphere. Its main town, Ermoupoli, reflects classic Greek charm with its pastel-colored stone buildings, cathedral domes, and seaside promenades.

During the day, you can swim in quiet bays, and in the late afternoon, moor in the harbor and enjoy the boutique cafés in town.

Mykonos

It is Greece’s most famous island and the capital of nightlife.

During the day, you can swim in turquoise waters around Ornos, Psarou, or Rhenia.
In the evenings, you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine in Little Venice.

You can spend the night at world-famous venues such as Scorpios, Nammos or Cavo Paradiso.

Paros

Paros represents the simple yet elegant side of Cycladic culture. In the north, Naoussa Village feels like a postcard with its whitewashed houses, narrow lanes, and traditional fishing boats.

Kolymbithres Beach, with its granite rock formations and crystal-clear waters, is ideal for swimming. In the evening, you can enjoy a peaceful dinner at the island’s boutique restaurants, accompanied by Greek wines.

Serifos

Known for its tranquility, Serifos is a lesser-known island that has preserved its natural beauty. The village of Chora is one of the most authentic examples of Cycladic architecture and offers panoramic views at sunset. The golden Psili Ammos Beach is ideal for relaxing.

Kythnos

It is one of the stops where you will feel the deepest sense of peace along the route. Kolona Bay, with its natural sandbar connecting two shores, is one of the most beautiful formations in the Cyclades. Yachts anchor in the narrow passage, facing the sea on both sides.

In addition, the thermal springs in Loutra Village offer a perfect spa-style break at the end of your journey.

Atina

On the final day, after breakfast on board, you may check out by 09:00.

If you have time, we recommend you to visit the Acropolis Museum or end your trip with a Michelin-starred lunch by the sea.

Flights & Transfers

Transfer time to the marinas is approximately 30–50 minutes.

Climate & Weather Cyclades

Greece’s Aegean coast has a typical Mediterranean climate: hot, dry summers and mild winters.
In July and August, the northerly Meltemi winds can occasionally become strong, though they usually do not prevent yachts from sailing. However, they may cause significant discomfort for some guests and can require the captain to adjust the route.
