Fethiye Greek Islands Yacht Charter Itinerary

An alternative route for Fethiye-based yacht charters is the Greek Islands.

Only yachts holding a Greek survey are permitted to operate this special itinerary, so the number of suitable vessels is limited.

Due to recent regulations introduced by the Greek authorities, additional costs may apply under the TEPADAH tax framework, along with certain administrative requirements. We will, of course, brief you thoroughly on all details.

Who is this route suitable for?

With its longer cruising distances, this route is ideal for guests who are comfortable with open-sea passages and who enjoy stepping ashore, exploring towns on foot, mixing with lively crowds. Also keep in mind that; due to extended distances, extra fuel charges may apply.

Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese Islands, is also the easternmost island of Greece, excluding Kastellorizo (Meis). Its closest point to the Turkish coast is just 18 km from Bozburun.

One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Colossus of Rhodes, was erected at the harbor entrance around 280 BC by the Dorians. The medieval city of Rhodes, including its castle built by the Knights of St. John, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Karpathos Island (Kerpe) lies between Crete and Rhodes. You can trace the past in its ancient acropolis, sea caves, traditional churches and even in the local costumes still worn today.

While on Karpathos, you will experience the untouched spirit of Greece through its traditional way of life, warm-hearted locals and talented folk musicians. Due to limited tourism compared to its neighboring islands, it is the least developed island in the South Aegean. It is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet holiday.

Kos is a true holiday haven, known for its stunning landscapes and well-preserved natural beauty. During the summer months, it is also a popular destination for many travelers from Turkey.

But Kos is far more than just a beach destination. The island is rich in history and culture, offering numerous noteworthy sites, including:

• The Asklepion
• The Castle of the Knights
• The Tree of Hippocrates
• Hasan Pasha Mosque & Defterdar Mosque

Halki, also spelled Chalki, is the smallest of the Dodecanese Islands, a charming little place located just west of Rhodes. Known in Turkish as Herke, it is a bare, rocky Greek island with a distinctive quiet beauty.

Tourism on Halki is still very limited, allowing the island to offer a sense of privacy and deep tranquility.

Limoniye Island is located between Rhodes and Halki (Herke). With a surface area of just 7.4 square kilometers, it is a small and secluded spot in the Dodecanese.

There is no permanent population on the island today; all inhabitants were evacuated during World War II. The ruined church that remains is a striking landmark. It would be an excellent background for your social media photos.

The island of Symi, known as Sömeki during the Ottoman era, remained under Ottoman rule from 1522 until 1912, and later became part of Greece in 1948.

Symi is quite spread out, so exploring the waterfront area is the most enjoyable way to experience the island. Notable sights include:

• The Castle of the Knights
• Panormitis Monastery
• Megali Panagia Church
• Agios Emilianos Monastery

If you prefer a quieter and more secluded stay away from the crowds, we recommend Panormitis, located on the southern side of the island.

Tilos is one of three small Dodecanese islands located between Kos and Rhodes. Thanks to its limited accessibility, this tiny island has managed to preserve its authenticity and remain untouched by mass tourism.

Home to around 500 residents, the island’s main settlement is Livadia, where the primary port is located. It is a modest seaside village with pebble beaches lined with tavernas, two-story guesthouses and a handful of small shops. To explore the island, you can easily rent a bicycle or a motorbike.
