Gulet Charter Turkey
A gulet is Turkey’s most iconic charter vessel — a broad-beamed, traditionally crafted wooden yacht built along the Aegean coast, most famously in the shipyards of Bodrum and Bozburun. Specifically designed for guest satisfaction, gulets combine generous deck space with comfortable cabin layouts, making them the natural choice for a private blue cruise.
What to Expect on a Gulet Charter
Most gulets sleep between 6 and 12 guests across 3 to 6 en-suite cabins. The wide aft deck serves as the social heart of the boat — meals are served here, sunbeds line the sides, and a swimming platform at the stern gives direct access to the sea. Meanwhile, inside, a saloon with air conditioning provides a cool retreat during the hottest part of the day. Crew typically consists of a captain, chef and one or two deckhands, with full board included as standard.
Charter gulets in our fleet range from classic wooden vessels at entry-level weekly rates to premium and luxury gulets with water toys, Seabob, satellite TV and upgraded galley equipment. Regardless of budget, every gulet in our fleet is personally vetted — we inspect safety equipment, engine condition, cabin comfort and crew references before listing.
Departure Ports
Our gulet fleet operates from four main bases:
Each port offers a distinct cruising area. For instance, Bodrum opens up the Gulf of Gökova and the northern Aegean. Fethiye and Göcek, on the other hand, are gateways to the sheltered 12 Bays and the Turquoise Coast towards Kaş and Kekova. Marmaris, meanwhile, connects to the Bozburun Peninsula and the Hisarönü Gulf. In addition, one-way routes between ports are also available.
When to Charter
The gulet season runs from late April through to early November. Peak season is July and August, when the meltemi wind keeps temperatures manageable on deck. However, May, June and September offer the best combination of good weather, calmer seas and more competitive rates. October, furthermore, remains warm enough for swimming and is increasingly popular with guests seeking quieter anchorages.
