Porto Rotondo is a luxury marina town on the northeast coast of Sardinia, a place where the Mediterranean spirit can be felt from the very first moment.

Designed in the 1960s by Venetian architects, the area is known for its stone houses, boutique hotels and elegant restaurants lining the marina. In summer, Porto Rotondo’s population reaches nearly 30,000, making it a comfortable and stylish stop before setting out to sea.

When you turn your bow north, the La Maddalena Archipelago appears across the blue stretch between Sardinia and Corsica.
This region is made up of more than 60 islands and has been a national park since 1994. Rock formations sculpted by wind and sea, waters shifting from turquoise to emerald and beaches shaped by the waves turn the area into an open-air museum of natural sculptures.

You can spend your day relaxing and swimming in lagoon-like bays such as Spalmatore, Porto della Madonna or Cala Coticcio (Tahiti Bay).
Explore the stunning granite islets by tender, snorkel to observe the underwater world, or enjoy a picnic on shore.

In the late afternoon, take a stroll through the village of La Maddalena’s stone alleys, colorful houses and the scent of freshly baked bread offer a genuine Mediterranean feeling.

Caprera Island is where the Italian hero Giuseppe Garibaldi spent his final years. Today, his home is preserved as a museum, making the island an ideal stop for both history and nature lovers.

You can  enjoy refreshing swim breaks in bays such as Cala Napoletana, Cala Serena or Cala Porto Palma. In the afternoon, you can head out for a short hike along Caprera’s green walking trails.

Anchoring under the stars in one of the quiet coves of Spargi or Budelli reveals Sardinia’s romantic side.

The world-famous Pink Beach (Spiaggia Rosa), accessible only by boat, awaits you. Although stepping onto the beach is prohibited for conservation reasons, admiring its unique colors from your yacht is an unforgettable experience.

Your first stop in French waters is the Lavezzi Islands, a paradise for diving enthusiasts with their granite boulders, wild landscapes, coral gardens and rich marine life.

Here, you can swim, walk along the coastal paths and discover the ruins of an ancient monastery as well as the 10th-century Chapel of Santa Maria.

A short cruise from Lavezzi takes you to Cavallo Island, a luxurious retreat known for its private villas and crystal-clear waters.

The most impressive stop of the week will undoubtedly be Bonifacio. Perched atop towering limestone cliffs, this city is breathtaking in both its history and its dramatic natural setting.

The Upper Town (Haute Ville), home to the citadel, enchants visitors with its stone alleyways, music-filled squares, and sweeping sea views. As you return to the marina and look up from your yacht, the cliff-carved houses of Bonifacio offer one of the most captivating sights in the entire Mediterranean.

On the final day, before returning to Porto Rotondo, you’ll enjoy one last swimming stop in one of the bays around La Maddalena or Spargi.

This is more than just an itinerary. It is a sea journey where history and the cultures of two islands come together.

Flights & Transfers

The closest airport to Porto Rotondo, Cannigione, and Porto Cervo is Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB).

• During the summer months, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus offer direct flights from Istanbul to Olbia.
• At other times of the year, connecting flights are available via Rome (FCO) or Milan (MXP/LIN).
• From major European cities, there are multiple daily flights to Olbia throughout the season.
